We offer you to prepare a dish of Tilapia with a Mediterranean Herb Crust. Create a flavorful crust for delicate tilapia with crispy panko breadcrumbs, fresh spinach, and fragrant Mediterranean herbs.
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon marjoram leaves
- ¾ teaspoon ground mustard
- ¾ teaspoon basil leaves
- ¾ teaspoon oregano leaves
- ½ teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
- 6 fillets of tilapia or flounder (approximately 700 g)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup butter
- 1 ½ cups chopped fresh spinach leaves
- ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs (traditional Japanese breadcrumb mixture for deep frying)
- ⅓ cup finely chopped red bell pepper
- 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Place the fish on a shallow baking sheet lined with foil. Sprinkle with salt. Combine butter and all spices in a medium bowl. Brush the fish with 1 tablespoon of the seasoned butter.
- Combine spinach, panko breadcrumbs, bell pepper, and Parmesan cheese in the remaining seasoned butter. Spread the mixture evenly between the fish fillets, pressing lightly to adhere the mixture to the top of the fish.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
