Tiger Sandwiches

We invite you to prepare original and delicious Tiger Sandwiches.

Ingredients:

  • 50–70 g (1.7–2.5 oz) salted herring
  • 70 g (2.5 oz) black caviar
  • 5 slices of baguette or white bread
  • 2 boiled carrots
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Lettuce leaves and olives for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Hard-boil the eggs, then separate the yolks from the whites. Mash the yolks with a fork in a separate bowl.
  2. Blend the herring in a food processor and mix it with the mashed yolks. Add mayonnaise and stir well until you get a smooth paste.
  3. Grate the egg whites and boiled carrots separately.
  4. Spread the prepared herring paste over the bread slices. Sprinkle the grated carrot on top.
  5. To create a tiger-striped pattern, alternate thin stripes of grated egg whites and black caviar over the carrots. Make sure to alternate between the orange (carrot), white (egg whites), and black (caviar) layers to resemble a tiger’s fur.

Your Tiger Sandwiches are ready! Serve on a plate, garnished with lettuce leaves and olives. Enjoy!
