Three-layer “Fairy Tale” cake

We suggest to prepare Three-layer “Fairy Tale” cake.


Ingredients:

For the chocolate layer:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp baking soda/vinegar

For the poppy seed layer:

  • 40g poppy seeds
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp baking soda/vinegar

For the walnut layer:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp baking soda/vinegar

For the cream:

  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 200g butter

Instructions:

Prepare several layers with different ingredient compositions.

  1. Chocolate layer: Beat eggs with sugar until frothy, add butter and sour cream, beat again, add baking soda, flour, and cocoa.
  2. Poppy seed layer: Same ingredients as for the chocolate layer, but instead of cocoa, add poppy seeds that have been previously scalded with boiling water.
  3. Walnut layer: For the third layer, add 1 cup of crushed walnuts.
  4. Cream: Prepare the cream by beating softened butter with condensed milk until smooth. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. You can add raisins if desired.

Bake each layer separately in a greased pan for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through. Check with a toothpick. Cool the layers completely. Spread the cooled cream between the layers and on top and sides of the cake. Refrigerate the “Fairy Tale” cake for 8-12 hours or overnight.


Tip:

Decorate the top of the cake with grated dark chocolate or colorful sprinkles.
