Tender meatballs in white sauce

We suggest preparing tender meatballs in white sauce.

Ingredients:

  • Ground meat – 400 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Rice – 3-4 tbsp
  • Ground black pepper
  • Salt
  • Water

For the sauce:

  • Milk – 350-400 ml
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Butter – 1 tbsp
  • Flour – 1 tbsp
  • Ground black pepper
  • Salt

Preparation:

  1. Cook the rice until it’s half-done. Mix the ground meat, rice, egg, and spices. Knead the mixture well to form the meatballs and shape them into small rounds.
  2. Coat each meatball in flour. Fry the meatballs on both sides in oil, then place them in a baking dish.
  3. To prepare the delicious white sauce, fry the flour in a pan with butter. Gradually add the hot boiled milk into the pan with the flour, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and add the beaten egg yolks, mixing well. Pour the sauce over the hot meatballs and let them absorb the flavors.
  5. Meatballs in white sauce pair perfectly with any side dish.
