Stuffed Cabbage Cutlets

We offer to prepare a delicious dish – Stuffed Cabbage Cutlets.

Ingredients:

  • For the cutlets:
    • 500g pork shoulder
    • 1 onion
    • 1 soaked and squeezed slice of white bread
    • 2 eggs
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • Marjoram
  • For the cabbage filling:
    • 300g sauerkraut
    • 1-2 onions
    • 1 egg
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • Marjoram

Instructions:

Cutlets:

  1. Grind the meat, onion, and bread in a food processor.
  2. Add eggs and season with salt, pepper, and marjoram. Mix well by hand.

Cabbage filling:

  1. Simmer the sauerkraut in a deep skillet until tender. Drain.
  2. Sauté chopped onion until soft. Add the sauerkraut and cook for about 3 minutes.
  3. Process the mixture in a food processor. Add the egg and season to taste. Mix well.

Assembling the cutlets:

  1. Spread the meat mixture on a flat plate. Place a dollop of the cabbage filling in the center.
  2. Form the mixture into long, cylindrical cutlets by folding the edges together.
  3. Fry in plenty of oil over low heat, covered, for 4-5 minutes per side.
