Spicy Marinated Mushrooms (Champignons)

We suggest preparing Spicy Marinated Mushrooms (Champignons). Marinated mushrooms always pair well with any dish. They make an excellent appetizer and are a frequent ingredient in salads. The ease and quickness of preparing marinated champignons have earned the trust of many home cooks.

Ingredients:

  • Mushrooms (champignons) – 1 kg
  • Water – 1 liter
  • 9% vinegar – 100 ml
  • Black peppercorns – 15 pcs.
  • Allspice – 15 pcs.
  • Bay leaves – 5 pcs.
  • Cloves – 3 pcs.
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 tbsp

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the mushrooms under running water. Place the mushrooms in a pot of water and bring to a boil. Add salt so the water is slightly salty. Cook the mushrooms for 20 minutes. Then add the spices, herbs, and seasonings to the boiling water. Continue cooking for another 20 minutes.
  2. Five minutes before they are ready, pour in the vinegar. Transfer the mushrooms to clean containers with lids. Once the brine has cooled, the mushrooms are ready to eat.

The spicy marinated mushrooms (champignons) are ready. They make a great appetizer when served with oil and green onions. Store in the refrigerator for no more than 30 days. Enjoy!
