We offer to prepare a Danish dish – Smørrebrød with blue cheese.
Smørrebrød (Danish: Smørrebrød) is a traditional Danish open sandwich, which usually consists of a piece of rye bread (rugbrød – a dense Danish sourdough rye bread) and various toppings and spreads.
Ingredients:
- 1 slice of rugbrød bread. If you do not have Danish rugbrød, replace it with whole grain rye bread.
- 1/2 teaspoon of unsalted butter, slightly softened
- 1/4 pear, thinly sliced lengthwise
- 1 tablespoon of blue cheese, crumbled
- 2 teaspoons of toasted hazelnuts, chopped
Preparation:
- Evenly spread the butter over the entire top side of the bread.
- Arrange the pear slices on the bread so that they slightly overlap.
- Sprinkle with crumbled blue cheese on top, and sprinkle with toasted hazelnuts over it.
Smørrebrød with blue cheese is ready. Enjoy!
