Semolina Cream Dessert with Fruits

We invite you to prepare Semolina Cream Dessert with Fruits. Instead of butter, you can use cream cheese. During winter, fruits can be substituted with jam.

Ingredients:

  • 1 liter (4 cups) of milk
  • 10 tablespoons of quick-cooking semolina
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 4–5 tablespoons of softened butter
  • 1 kg (2.2 lbs) of fruits (strawberries, blueberries, wild strawberries, or raspberries)
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 packet of strawberry jelly
  • Chocolate and a few fruits for decoration

Instructions:

  1. Cook the semolina in milk with salt and sugar. Set aside to cool.
  2. Meanwhile, stew the fruits with sugar until soft.
  3. Dissolve the jelly in 300 ml (1 ¼ cups) of water. Allow it to cool and mix with the stewed fruits.
  4. Let the fruit mixture thicken slightly.
  5. Cream the butter and gradually add it, one tablespoon at a time, to the cooked semolina. For extra flavor, you can add vanilla sugar or other flavorings to make the cream.
  6. Layer the dessert in cups: start with a layer of cream, then add a layer of fruits, and finish with another layer of cream.
  7. Decorate with grated chocolate and fresh fruits.
