Rich Homemade Caramel Cream Liqueur

If you’re a fan of sweet, creamy liqueurs like Baileys, stop scrolling! This Homemade Caramel Cream Liqueur recipe is incredibly fast to make, and the flavor is so smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced that the bottle, trust us, will vanish almost instantly. It’s the perfect boozy treat for holidays, cozy evenings, or elevating your morning coffee.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (approx. 14 oz / 400g each) Sweetened Condensed Milk (specifically the caramelized/cooked kind, often labeled “Dulce de Leche”)
  • 1 cup (250 ml) Heavy Whipping Cream (35% fat or double cream)
  • 1 tbsp Honey (optional, for extra depth)
  • ½ packet (approx. 1 tsp) Vanilla Sugar (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)
  • 2 cups (500 ml) Rum (use light or dark rum based on your preference; dark rum adds more flavor depth)

Instructions:

  1. Blend the Base: Pour the heavy cream into a high-speed blender. Add the Dulce de Leche, honey, vanilla sugar (or extract), and the rum.
  2. Mix Until Creamy: Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely uniform, smooth, and has a luscious, creamy consistency.
  3. Bottle and Rest: Carefully pour the finished liqueur into clean bottles or jars.
  4. The Flavor Friendship: Store the liqueur in the refrigerator for 2–3 days before serving. This crucial step allows the flavors to properly “marry” and deepen.

Gently shake the bottle before serving. Enjoy chilled in small glasses, poured over ice, or use it to flavor coffee, hot cocoa, or desserts. Cheers to a warm, cozy mood!

Storage Tip: This liqueur keeps well in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. If it thickens too much while chilled, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes or give it a vigorous shake.
