While many of us adore classic peach iced tea, we’ve got a delightful twist for you: our aromatic and truly refreshing Nectarine & Lemon Iced Tea! Making homemade iced tea is incredibly simple – it’s quick, easy, and absolutely delicious. This thirst-quenching drink is perfect for hot summer days, and it’s a fantastic addition to family gatherings or a relaxed picnic.
Ingredients:
- Water: 1 liter (about 4 cups)
- Black Tea: 1 tablespoon (consider one with apricot or peach undertones for extra aroma!)
- Granulated Sugar: 3 tablespoons
- Nectarines: 2 ripe ones
- Lemon: 1 fresh lemon
Preparation:
- Steep Your Tea: In a heatproof pitcher or teapot, pour 1 liter of boiling water over the black tea leaves. Let it steep for about 4 minutes to achieve a good, strong base.
- Infuse with Sweetness & Fruit: Strain the tea to remove the leaves. While it’s still warm, stir in the sugar until it completely dissolves. Now, add one nectarine, sliced into rounds, and half of the lemon, also sliced.
- Chill Out: Place your tea infusion into the refrigerator until it’s completely chilled. This allows the fruit flavors to really infuse into the tea.
- Serve It Up: Once thoroughly chilled, remove the fruit slices from the tea. Pour the refreshing beverage into a beautiful carafe or pitcher.
Your Refreshing Nectarine & Lemon Iced Tea is ready! Serve it over plenty of ice cubes, garnished with fresh slices of nectarine and lemon. It’s not just incredibly tasty, but visually stunning too!
