Quince Juice

Let’s make a delicious and healthy quince juice! Quince juice is a great addition to tea, and it’s even better when sweetened with honey.

Ingredients:

  • 2 kg quinces
  • 2 kg sugar

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the quinces: Wash the quinces and cut them into quarters.
  2. Remove seeds: Remove the cores and seeds.
  3. Layer in jars: Place the quince slices in sterilized jars.
  4. Add sugar: Cover the quince with sugar.
  5. Let it sit: Place the jars in a cool place for 5 days.
  6. Mash and add sugar: Each day, gently mash the quinces in the jars to release the juice. Add more sugar if needed.
  7. Seal and store: After 5 days, seal the jars and refrigerate.
  8. Optional: Pasteurize: For longer storage, you can pasteurize the jars by boiling them in a pot of water for 12-15 minutes.

Enjoy your quince juice! It’s perfect for drinking diluted with water or as a tea additive.

Tip: For a healthier option, replace the sugar with honey. Use approximately 1/2 cup of honey for every 8-10 medium-sized quinces.
