We suggest preparing Pickled Wavy Cucumbers. This simple and quick recipe results in incredibly tasty pickled cucumbers. Only a few basic ingredients are needed, and it doesn’t take much time to prepare. If desired, you can add other vegetables, such as onions or carrots.
Ingredients (for 1 jar):
- 2 small cucumbers, sliced into 1.5 cm wavy rounds
- 100 g of sugar
- 150 ml of white wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 pinches of chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon of black peppercorns
Instructions:
- Wash the cucumbers and slice them into 1.5 cm rounds.
- Place a saucepan over high heat, combine the white wine vinegar, salt, pepper, and chili flakes, and bring to a boil.
- Once it boils, add the sugar and stir for one minute until it dissolves.
- After the sugar dissolves, add the cucumber slices to the saucepan and stir. Ensure that all the slices are fully coated with the mixture, then bring it to a boil again.
- Once the mixture boils, remove the saucepan from the heat and transfer the mixture to a jar.
- Cover the jar with two layers of plastic wrap, making sure the wrap touches the surface of the mixture. Close the jar and place it in the refrigerator for an hour to cool.
The Pickled Wavy Cucumbers are ready. Enjoy!
