Orange Lemonade

We suggest preparing Orange Lemonade.

Ingredients:

  • Oranges – 4 pcs

Instructions:

  1. Take 4 oranges, wash them, and scald with boiling water. Then, place the oranges in the freezer for 12 to 24 hours. Freezing helps remove the bitterness from the oranges.
  2. Once you take the oranges out of the freezer, pour hot water over them to slightly thaw and soften them for easier slicing.
  3. Slice each orange into 6-8 pieces.
  4. Run the oranges, along with their peels, through a meat grinder.
  5. Pour 3 liters of cold (boiled or filtered) water over the orange pulp and let it steep for 15 minutes.
  6. After 15 minutes, strain and filter the mixture through cheesecloth or a fine sieve. Add 6-7 liters of drinking water, 0.7 kg of sugar, and a pinch of citric acid. You can also use the juice of one lemon instead of citric acid.
  7. Let the lemonade sit for 1 hour to develop a rich color and flavor.
