We suggest preparing Orange Lemonade.
Ingredients:
- Oranges – 4 pcs
Instructions:
- Take 4 oranges, wash them, and scald with boiling water. Then, place the oranges in the freezer for 12 to 24 hours. Freezing helps remove the bitterness from the oranges.
- Once you take the oranges out of the freezer, pour hot water over them to slightly thaw and soften them for easier slicing.
- Slice each orange into 6-8 pieces.
- Run the oranges, along with their peels, through a meat grinder.
- Pour 3 liters of cold (boiled or filtered) water over the orange pulp and let it steep for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, strain and filter the mixture through cheesecloth or a fine sieve. Add 6-7 liters of drinking water, 0.7 kg of sugar, and a pinch of citric acid. You can also use the juice of one lemon instead of citric acid.
- Let the lemonade sit for 1 hour to develop a rich color and flavor.
