Masala Chai – Indian Tea

We suggest making Masala Chai – Indian tea, a traditional Indian drink popular among Ayurveda practitioners and those who prefer a healthy diet. With its amazing health benefits, this drink is perfect for anyone who wants to stay healthy and look younger than their age.

Ingredients:

  • Black tea (2 tbsp of granulated Indian tea)
  • Star anise (3 pieces)
  • Cloves (8 pieces)
  • Cinnamon (2 sticks)
  • Cardamom (1 pod)
  • Fresh ginger (1 tsp, finely chopped)
  • Nutmeg (1 pinch, grated)
  • Hot pepper (1 pinch, ground)
  • Water (1 liter)
  • Milk (1 cup)

Instructions:

  1. Bring a liter of water to a boil in a saucepan (preferably copper). Separately heat the milk, then pour it into the boiling water.
  2. Add each ingredient in turn, cover with a lid, and immediately turn off the heat.
  3. Let the drink steep for 10 minutes, then strain it into ceramic cups. Sweeten with honey when it cools to a warm temperature.
