Effective and quick ways to whiten white clothes, especially for stubborn stains:
- Potassium Permanganate Method: Add a few crystals of potassium permanganate to a bucket of hot water (the water should turn slightly pink) and about 200 grams of laundry detergent. Place the washed clothes in the solution, stir, and cover the bucket. Let it cool to room temperature and rinse the clothes thoroughly.
- Hydrogen Peroxide Method: For two liters of warm water, add a teaspoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide and a bit of baking soda. Soak the clothes in the solution for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Rinse.
- Ammonia Method for Linen and Cotton: For linen and cotton items, soak in water with added ammonia for a few hours before washing. For stubborn stains, add a couple tablespoons of turpentine.
- For Lace and Tulle: Add 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide and a teaspoon of ammonia to a bucket of hot water. Soak the items for 30 minutes, then wash as usual.
