This recipe offers a refreshing twist on the classic tarkhun beverage. Tarkhun (tarragon), a fragrant herb, gives this homemade soda a unique and distinctive flavor.
Ingredients:
- 500 ml purified water
- 100 g tarragon (fresh)
- 300 g sugar
- 1 lemon
- Sparkling water to taste
Instructions:
- Make the sugar syrup: Boil a cup of water. Add a cup of sugar and stir. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until a concentrated syrup forms.
- Prepare the tarragon: Finely chop the tarragon stems and leaves. Place them in a pot and pour the hot sugar syrup over them. Let it sit for 3-5 hours at room temperature, covered.
- Strain and flavor: Strain the mixture to remove the tarragon. Add the juice of one lemon to the clear liquid. Dilute the drink to your taste with sparkling water.
- Serve: Serve in tall glasses, garnished with tarragon leaves and slices of caramelized lemon.
