We invite you to prepare Hawaiian Macaroni Salad. This creamy, tangy pasta salad is perfect for barbecues and festive gatherings. It’s easy to make and sure to be a crowd-pleaser!
Ingredients:
- 450 g pasta
- ½ cup grated carrot
- ¼ cup grated onion
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions:
- In a pot over medium heat, bring about 4 liters of water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions. Drain well and transfer to a large bowl.
- While the pasta is still warm, pour in the apple cider vinegar. Let it cool.
- In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, milk, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth. Add the grated carrot and onion, stirring gently to combine.
- Add half of the dressing to the pasta mixture and mix well. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste. Let it sit for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Add the remaining dressing and mix until the pasta is fully coated. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
- Cover the bowl with a tight-fitting lid and refrigerate for about 2-3 hours to allow the salad to chill and the flavors to blend. Serve cold.
