Hawaiian Macaroni Salad

We invite you to prepare Hawaiian Macaroni Salad. This creamy, tangy pasta salad is perfect for barbecues and festive gatherings. It’s easy to make and sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients:

  • 450 g pasta
  • ½ cup grated carrot
  • ¼ cup grated onion
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a pot over medium heat, bring about 4 liters of water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions. Drain well and transfer to a large bowl.
  2. While the pasta is still warm, pour in the apple cider vinegar. Let it cool.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, milk, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth. Add the grated carrot and onion, stirring gently to combine.
  4. Add half of the dressing to the pasta mixture and mix well. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste. Let it sit for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.
  5. Add the remaining dressing and mix until the pasta is fully coated. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
  6. Cover the bowl with a tight-fitting lid and refrigerate for about 2-3 hours to allow the salad to chill and the flavors to blend. Serve cold.
