Georgian-style Kharcho soup with walnuts

We invite you to prepare Georgian-style kharcho soup with walnuts.

Ingredients:

  • Beef (on the bone) – 800 g
  • Tomato paste – 200 g
  • Walnuts – 100 g
  • Onion – 2 pcs
  • Rice – 1/2 cup
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Hot adjika – 1/2 tsp
  • Kharcho spices

Preparation:

  1. Cook the meat: place it in cold water, bring to a boil, and cook for 60 minutes, skimming off the foam periodically. Add salt. Once cooked, cut the meat into pieces and return it to the pot.
  2. Chop and sauté the onions. Add tomato paste or grated tomatoes, minced garlic, spices, and adjika. Sauté everything for 5 minutes.
  3. Rinse the rice and add it to the pot. After about 20 minutes, add the sautéed mixture to the soup. Cook for another 5 minutes. Add walnuts to the Georgian-style kharcho soup. Let the soup sit for a while before serving.
