Fried Zander in breadcrumbs (pan-fried)

We suggest preparing Fried Zander in breadcrumbs (pan-fried).

Ingredients:

  • Zander – 2 kg
  • Breadcrumbs – 200 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Spices (turmeric, paprika, oregano) – 1 tsp
  • Chicken egg – 1 pc
  • Fresh herbs – for garnish
  • Oil – 50 ml

Preparation:

  1. Cut the zander into several large pieces. Then divide each steak along the bone into two parts. There’s no need to remove the bones.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg with salt, oregano, sweet paprika, and turmeric. Dip each piece of zander into the egg mixture. Then coat both sides in breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat a pan with oil. Fry the zander over medium heat until fully cooked. Do not cover the pan. Fry for about 20 minutes.
  4. Drizzle the pieces with lemon juice and serve. Garnish with fresh herbs. You can serve it with any side dish of your choice.
