Fish Pie

We suggest you prepare Fish Pie.

Ingredients:

  • 3 fish fillets (e.g., cod)
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 3 carrots, grated
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cabbage leaves, thinly shredded
  • 5 grams butter
  • 125 ml white wine
  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Nutmeg
  • Poppy seeds
  • Salt
  • Marjoram
  • Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the fish: Drizzle the fish fillets with lemon juice and refrigerate for a few hours.
  2. Prepare the vegetables: Grate the carrots, dice the onion and garlic, and shred the cabbage.
  3. Sauté the vegetables: Sauté the vegetables in butter until softened. Add the white wine and season with nutmeg, salt, pepper, and marjoram. Cook until the wine has evaporated.
  4. Assemble the pie: Drain the fish and season with salt and pepper. Roll out the puff pastry and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Layer the ingredients: Spread half of the vegetable mixture on the pastry. Arrange the fish fillets on top, then cover with the remaining vegetable mixture.
  6. Create a lattice: Cut strips into the edges of the pastry and weave them over the filling to create a lattice.
  7. Finish: Brush the pastry with beaten egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  8. Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 45 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the fish is cooked through.
