Eastern-Style Rassolnik

Ingredients:

  • 500g chicken breasts
  • 5 carrots
  • 2 liters of water
  • Salt
  • Ground chili pepper
  • Turmeric
  • Curry powder
  • Sugar
  • 1 package of rice noodles

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the broth: Cut the chicken breasts into cubes and place them in a pot with water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Skim off any foam that forms on the surface.
  2. Add vegetables and spices: Add the sliced carrots to the cooked chicken. Season with salt. Once the vegetables and meat are tender, add the spices. Start with turmeric and curry powder. Taste and add chili pepper according to your preference.
  3. Adjust the flavors: Taste the broth and adjust the seasonings as needed. Add sugar to balance the flavors. Your broth is ready.
  4. Cook the noodles: Cook the rice noodles separately in salted water until tender.
