We suggest making Crispy Chicken Rolls – a delicious yet simple alternative to Chicken Cordon Bleu.
Ingredients:
- ½ kg (1.1 lbs) chicken breast fillet, sliced into wide, thin pieces (4-5 pieces)
- 1½ tablespoons soy sauce
- ½ cup quick-melting cheese, cut into strips
- ½ cup ham, cut into thin strips
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- 2 cups cooking oil
- ½ cup ketchup
- 20 toothpicks for securing
Instructions:
- Marinate the chicken in soy sauce for at least 30 minutes.
- Lay cheese and ham strips on each chicken slice. Roll up tightly and secure the ends with toothpicks.
- Dip each roll into beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs. Deep-fry in oil until golden brown.
- Slice and serve with ketchup.
