Crispy Baked Shrimp with Secret Sauce

We offer you to prepare Crispy Baked Shrimp with Secret Sauce. This crispy and delicious shrimp dish is very similar to “Bang Bang Shrimp” served in seafood restaurants.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups bread, cut into cubes
  • Oil
  • 500 g raw medium-sized shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 large eggs, whisked
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

Secret Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha (a type of chili sauce)
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the bread cubes evenly on the baking sheet. Lightly drizzle the cubes with oil. Bake for about 5 minutes, until the cubes are light golden brown and dry. Transfer the toasted bread cubes to a food processor and gently pulse into breadcrumbs. Add the breadcrumbs back to the baking sheet and toast in the oven for another 1-2 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs and flour until smooth.
  3. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Prepare another baking sheet, line it with parchment paper.
  4. First, dip the shrimp in the egg glaze. Shake or wipe off any excess coating with the edge of the bowl. The coating should be quite thin. Place the shrimp on the crushed toasted breadcrumbs. Place more breadcrumbs on the shrimp and press until the shrimp are completely covered. Place the covered shrimp on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining shrimp.
  5. Bake the breaded shrimp for about 10-15 minutes until cooked through and the coating is crispy.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare the secret sauce. Whisk together the sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, mayonnaise, and honey in a small bowl until smooth.

When the Crispy Baked Shrimp with Secret Sauce are ready, garnish them with parsley and drizzle with the sauce. Serve warm. Enjoy!
