Capricciosa Salad

We invite you to prepare the Italian Capricciosa Salad. This quick and easy salad is made with fresh vegetables, ham, and cheese, and is sure to please everyone.

Ingredients:

  • 150 g of carrots
  • 150 g of celery root
  • 100 g of Emmental cheese
  • 100 g of cooked ham
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 200 g of mayonnaise
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. To prepare Capricciosa Salad, start by peeling the vegetables and the carrots. Remove the stem and seeds from the bell pepper.
  2. Slice the vegetables thinly:
    • Cut the celery root into thin slices and place them in a bowl with cold water and lemon juice.
    • Use a sharp knife to cut the carrots into thin strips.
    • Slice the bell pepper into thin strips as well.
  3. Drain the celery root slices and cut them into very thin pieces. Combine all the vegetables in a large bowl and add a pinch of salt.
  4. Slice the cheese and ham into thin strips, similar in size to the vegetables. Alternatively, you can dice them into small cubes if you prefer.
  5. Mix the ham and cheese with the vegetables. Add the mayonnaise and stir everything together thoroughly.

Your Capricciosa Salad is ready! Refrigerate it for at least 1 hour before serving. Enjoy!
