Braised beef cutlets

We suggest preparing Braised Beef Cutlets.

Ingredients:

  • Beef meat – 300 g
  • Onion – 1 piece
  • Carrot – 1 piece
  • Water – 200 ml
  • Bay leaf – 1 piece
  • Oil – 30 ml
  • Salt, ground black pepper – to taste

Preparation:

  1. Pound the meat, rub both sides with salt and ground black pepper.
  2. Sear the beef in oil for a few minutes on both sides, then set it aside.
  3. Without cooling the pan, sauté the onion and carrot in the remaining oil for 3-4 minutes, slicing them in any convenient way.
  4. Return the beef to the pan with the vegetables, pour in water or broth, add the bay leaf, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer covered for 50-60 minutes.
  6. Serve the well-braised beef cutlets hot, garnished with fresh herbs.
