Let’s make a delicious Apricot Jam with Walnuts!
Ingredients:
- Apricots – 1 kg
- Sugar – 1.2 kg
- Walnuts – 0.5 cup
Instructions:
- Pour the apricots into a pot, wash them, and place over low heat. Once the juice starts to release, increase the heat and bring the apricots to a boil.
- Mash the apricots.
- Transfer the mixture to a sieve placed over a bowl. Press the apricots through the sieve to separate the pulp and juice from the skins and seeds.
- Pour the pulp and juice into a saucepan or a heavy-bottomed pot.
- Add the sugar and place over heat. Stir occasionally.
- Simmer the jam over low heat for at least 1 hour. For a thicker consistency, cook for 1.5 hours.
- 10-15 minutes before the jam is ready, add chopped walnuts and continue to simmer over low heat.
- Ladle the hot jam into sterilized jars and seal with sterilized lids.
