Apricot Jam with Walnuts

Let’s make a delicious Apricot Jam with Walnuts!

Ingredients:

  • Apricots – 1 kg
  • Sugar – 1.2 kg
  • Walnuts – 0.5 cup

Instructions:

  1. Pour the apricots into a pot, wash them, and place over low heat. Once the juice starts to release, increase the heat and bring the apricots to a boil.
  2. Mash the apricots.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a sieve placed over a bowl. Press the apricots through the sieve to separate the pulp and juice from the skins and seeds.
  4. Pour the pulp and juice into a saucepan or a heavy-bottomed pot.
  5. Add the sugar and place over heat. Stir occasionally.
  6. Simmer the jam over low heat for at least 1 hour. For a thicker consistency, cook for 1.5 hours.
  7. 10-15 minutes before the jam is ready, add chopped walnuts and continue to simmer over low heat.
  8. Ladle the hot jam into sterilized jars and seal with sterilized lids.
